Question 300sdl front end rebuild. What does it entail?

What is the minimum I can get away with for a front end rebuild? There is nothing wrong with the car just uneven tire wear. I can simply do an alignment but I would like to check things out before I take it to the shop. What should I be looking for?

Thanks

Your best bet would be to take it to the shop and ask them to give you a quote on what needs to be fixed... perhaps more than one shop...
that gives you a list to work from... some things are not easy to check DIY..
I used to work at a spring and brake shop... they know how to place force in the right manner to check tolerances.

X2

That is exactly what I do. Then I do the work myself and return for the alignment.
