KIT
Earlier I put in a link for a hydraulic pump to build a kit for $80 or so.
It is probably worth calling the Bosch technical line and ask them why they only use 1450 PSI on their rebuilt injectors. If you want to call them, the number is 800-521-5462. I am moving my kid today.
There is a guy I know who rebuilds injectors with Monark nozzles that uses a pop of 1600-1650 range. I will ask him why he chose that range.
Most likely the POP range of 1450-1775 for a Mercedes is based on two things. At the low end, there is a big performance drop off, and at the high end, it is the ability of the pump and injectors to take the pressure. They probably just were not capable of taking more pressure. We are talking about a lot of pressure at 200 bar, 2,900 PSI. Just think about how many times the pump has to open and close every minute, and every time it opens and closes, it has that much pressure behind it. I am quite certain that Bosch's narrow spritz is nothing more than that is where we were at the time. gotta go
