I didn't hear back from the guy... I hope he's going to let me park them there. today I filled two trailers of scrap metal, and the pickup as well... also purchased a set of steel shelves for the carport to store steel and lumber for future projects...

I got stuff done... not enough for my tastes though... kids are difficult getting started... (WHEN WILL SCHOOL START BACK AGAIN???)
OK. I had to take some stuff out of my truck today, I got an emergency heat out call from a big customer... minor setback. I went ahead and called the guy, and he STILL had not come by to see what I needed to store, but he said he'd try to make it by today, but he didn't... I HOPE he gets time tomorrow! maybe monday he'll arrange for me to move the stuff into his yard! My helper got a lot more pulled out, and sorted. noplace to put the stuff but a pile for the moment... gotta empty the trailers and the truck... anyway, we picked up all the tires, and stored them inside the vehicles I'm planning to store... the ground is now 99.9% clean... oh, and the "letter" arrived yesterday, I read it today, and it's pretty positive. IN THE LETTER, it says stuff like, SIGNIFICANT effort has been shown, and Due to the EXTREME nature of my violations.... additional time shall be granted... HOWEVER, this is a FINAL 30 days!!! if ANY portion of the property is not in FULL compliance the city staff shall take further legal action... so, while further time isn't getting given, I truly think I'll be done in the next week or so. the yard is AMAZINGLY cleaner now!

yup. the letter is what counts.
I'd sure like more members to come and relieve me of the hassle of moving some of these MB's but I'll get them moved, and then one at a time, disassemble them, and store the parts for sale later on. I've cleaned the yard more the last 3 months, than even the previous owner of the property EVER did... I had to dig out stuff that must have been there for 50 years. I found hundreds of feet of 1.5" pipe sticking out of the ground near the garage... piles of cinderblocks just stacked and buried.... hauled off old tarps, TONS of boxes from his old business... WOW, it's just amazing how LARGE 1.56 acres is... SOOOOOOOO much junk to remove. i keep filling the 5x12' trailers! I've given up on using the roll out containers, it's just CRAZY! I can't wait to call the inspector and tell him to come verify my yard's done. I want it OVER!!! I'm cured from "collecting" cars now... I'm going to focus on RESTORING the ones I drive, and my "project" cars now.

There's always that idea of ............maybe a new garage??................hhhmmmm Glad you have made such good progress! Such a shame neighbors have to be such a pain in the arse I live in a historic district and if you dont pull a permit for everything you do, guaranteed the city will show up, because of some nosy neighbor.

Hey John, would zoning prevent you from storing a shipping container on the property? HUGE amount of space for a cheap price. And protection from the weather.
