trouble starting e300 after replacing fuel lines

99 e300 turbo diesel

i replaced all the clear plaastic lines and the shutoff valve and im aware that i'll take a while to get things going. but the question i have is that i have fuel going through all the lines except the clear line from the lil prefilter/strainer to the banjo fitting. i been cranking it for a while and i cant seem to get anything flowing in there. do i just keep cranking or did i mess someting up that i need to fix?

Make double danged sure you didn't reverse the position of the fuel lines at any point.

everything looks like its hooked up ok. i can get it started but it runs for about 30 seconds and dies. seems like it just sucks up what is in the filter. hose number 32 i cant get any fuel in at all.

Did you replace the little pre-filter at the same time?

If so did you happen to put an o-ring on it?

When I changed all my lines I put fuel in each line to offset some of the cranking issues

got it fixed..that was the problem. i took the lines off and inspected the fit and the noticed the prefilter hose wasnt very snug. compared it to the old line and it was missing the 0-ring. thanks for the help guys

i spent whole days on that lil project
