correct installation of engine shocks?

i recently did motor mounts and replaced engine shocks on my 85 300D, however I didn't take good notes on how the engine shocks were installed. After putting everything back together and dropping the engine back down the engine shocks were sitting loose in the mounts.

I put them back together in this order (from top down)

1. Engine shock inserted and fastened to top mount
2. washer and rubber bushing on bottom of shock and then inserted into lower mount
3. second washer and bushing on the underside of lower mount

The end result when the engine is lowered is that washing and bushing on the underside of the lower mount hang lower than the bottom of the lower mount, and the shock kind of rattles around.

Can anyone tell me what the correct order of the various washers and rubber mounts is, or point me to a diagram? Thanks.
