I'm revisiting the idea of giving out a ... free car.

maybe.

everybody vote on which car I should put in.

1983 300SD 180K needs B2 piston o-ring installed, and the paint is cracked all over. (enamel repaint I suppose...)

1984 300D with a partially converted to 4speed status (needs driveshaft, shifter, pedals installed, included with the car)

1987TD with trap ox, still present. 3 dead cylinders, no third row too cold to start at the moment... but I did drive it onto and off of the trailer when I bought it.

no promises that any of them will go on the forward thread, just wanna get help deciding which one would be best for the thread.

Ditto. The SD will be much easier to deal with.

If the TD had been able to move under its own power, that would have got my vote.

Which one?

Personally, I'd love to get that manual tranny in progress, but unfortunately, no $$ to retrieve or for parts to finish putting back together. Besides, I'd have to leave it there for storage until I could arrange to get there for retrieval . . . LOL.

Got any more pics of the condition of your property? We'd love to gauge the progress!!! LOL!!!

If you have to strip out the manual tranny project, would love the conversion kit for my 300D!!! Could send it down, or take it down when visiting your aunt in Lakeland???? I'd probably take it to Pierre to do the conversion.

I'd like to have the 300D. Will see if I can renegotiate the Thanksgiving trip. Doubtful. Nothing comes in unless something goes out. Perhaps I could get rid of one of my son's toy cars & get him something for college. Time would be a factor as there are only 7 yrs to get ready.

5 will fit in a barn.
5 are registered and insured.
1 can stay outside under cover...
that leaves A LOT OF CARS...
and they all have to go.
I have places to take some of them, but I'd rather they went to someone who needs a car. preferably, sold!

He's fully engaged learning math, reading, cub scouts, swimming, basketball, football, computers & watching netflix. This summer activities will change to include sailing.

He's not too keen on wrenching but is angling for (& was promised) the SD. He also has his eye on the 78 Datsun Z but has no idea on how to swap the turbo from the 83ZX or install the megasquirt. I think SD (read big, slow, safe) is the better choice for a new driver.

I expect girls to be added to his short list in the next few years.

I just have too many, and nobody's buying them.

I'm thinking if I made it free, or offered up a car for a little help stripping down another one...

anyway, theres the options, I may add in some others.
