It might be cheaper than replacing a busted fog light.

How fast the air gets there isn't going to make any difference to your turbo (assuming there is unobstructed flow to begin with).
Do you have evidence?

The ram air upfront with a straight shot into the aircleaner is going to be marginally better than the fender intake. However a straight shot is going to suck in bugs, leaves, etc... far quicker too. Considering the cost of a an 85 cali airfilter over a standard air filter this isn't a win for the pocket book.

And if it's not hydrophobic and it is a particularly rainy day it'll even act as a poor-man's water injection kit! So in reality it's actually a two-for-one perfomance mod.

I think the point is totally getting missed here.

now, I'm no physicist... but... every air intake system (for the most part) has it's advantages and disadvantages. if the point of this thing is to increase airflow into the intake of the engine, it WILL have a very small bit of success. however, where this thing will have its biggest advantage is in decreasing intake air temperature. that'll be particularly pronounced at high speeds, of course. I shouldn't have to argue the physics on that one...

kinda silly for sure, with no appreciable payoff, but he can do what he wants with his own property. besides, at least it's not a total abomination...
