I am getting ready to install a replacement vacuum pump on my 220D motor. I am installing a used pump with new valves and diaphragm, but while looking at new pumps I found this warning on a vendors pump listing. "Vacuum Pump; Diaphragm Type
The installation guide supplied with the pump must be followed for correct installation procedures in order to be eligible for the manufacturer's warranty. Incorrect installation that results in broken cam follower, unevenly worn roller, or other ancillary damage will not be warrantable. Installation should be done by trained personnel only. " Other than taking up on the ring of mounting bolts gradually and evenly, is the anything else to do? Thanks so much for your input! Note to moderator: I have had this question posted in the vintage forum for a few days without any replies. I hope that someone here can lend some input. Thanks!
