When you go to the dealer, pick up 2, then tape the extra one in the glove box.

For $7.23 each I think I will just order them with my next parts purchase, I'll buy 10 and still be ahead!

Sometimes you do have to "do what ya gotta do", however I've been starting this car with no glow plugs for at least 2 weeks now and it starts just fine. Heck, pancakes the 240D with no history on the engine and a ton of miles started in the winter with no glow plugs.

I did get 6 new Bosch GP's with the car so I will be replacing those all on Friday. Just need to stop by harbor freight and get a 1/4" universal joint and a section of fuel line and I'll be good to go.

Don't forget to ream the holes once you take out the GPs.

That's insane! In the winter I had to heat my 617's oil pan with a torch for 30 minutes once to get it started out in the boonies.
