Axle seal part # 1983 123ch.

I am going to be changing the drivers side axle shaft on my wife's 1983 300d. I haven't had any success finding the part number for the seal and no luck finding one. Thanks for the help.

Which seal are you referring to, the seal at the differential, or the seal at the wheel? The seal at the wheel is strictly for the bearings, it has nothing to do with the axle. The differential seal should be replaced as a matter of course when you remove the axle, espescially if it's original to the car. They are readily available and easily changed.

I found the seal part number, I appreciate your feedback. I think you forgot to give me the part number though.
