fixing under hood wire connectors
Any ideas on fixing or replacing the connectors at the ends of the wires? I got three that the wires broke off the connector end. these are the ones that just slide over the smooth posts on various engine sensors. The metal part is just a smooth "tube" and the plastic housing has a little tooth that hooks onto the edge or the sensors to hold it on. The wires have actually broken off right at the metal part.
short of trying to re-solder the wire back to the metal tube...has anyone found a good replacment option? The plastic parts have all broken apart too. Too bad the sensors done have "screw" posts with a nut...

The plastic parts are available from Pelican or from your dealer. You can get the part numbers from EPC; a subscription for US residents is free. Junkyards are also a good source for these connectors although they may be just as brittle as the ones you have.

Found some old posts mentioning that female butt connectors are a good fit. The crimp connector type stuff. If so that will be a quick easy fix.
