What is the best way to get into a 80's w123 without calling a lockwsmith?

I guarantee they exist...but I cant seem to find a decent threads on how to get into my 83' 300D that I have lost the keys for. Do slim Jims work on the vacuum door lock? Should I just try and push a window down a little? Any wu-tang secrets would be greatly appreciated.

This may be something you will have to find out on your own. I don't think its best ot put how to break into these cars online.

If your trunk was locked I could tell you how to get into it.

Could you send me a private message? The only car I'm trying to steal is my own... I have a whole other thread about getting the ignition lock and switch out below. I'm just traveling without whole lot of funds to spare, no keys and most of my stuff locked inside. I know its not that difficult. I just want to make sure I do it without breaking something else. Somebody Please help me

If it was my car I'd honestly just smash the window out since I can find W124 glass all day for less than it would cost to call a lock smith.

No need to bust the Glass. When I locked Keys inside of the Car the Auto Club came out and used a plastic wedge to pry the Door out a little. They then inserted something like a Blood Pressure between the Door and Frame and squeezed the Bulb and inflated the That Thing untill there was enough room to stick their Wire Tool in and pull the Door latch Lock.
Note: that was not on a Mercedes.

The Tow Truck Driver sent by AAA opened the Car.

On your w123? I'd never think something could fit in the space that the door and door frame leave.

It was not on the 123.
But, like I said the Tow Truck Driver drove a Plastic wedge between the Door and the Frame/Pillar at the top of the Door.

I don't have a plastic Wedge to try that so I can't say if it will work or not. Part of My point was that the Driver knew what He was doing.

OK I just tried this with a Screwdriver and folds of Newspaper over the exterior Paint so I would not scratch it and I could with out much effort (I did not want to damage the paint so I did not push it hard) on my W123 open a 1/4 inch gap between the Rubber Molding and the Pillar.

That would be enough to get a Coat Hanger throug; and I have used a Coat Hanger on another Car before so I have some experience at that; extremely frustrating but it finally worked.

I am guessing if I had the proper Tool I could open a larger Gap.

Added that was the Rear Pillar on the Front Door at the top.

If you have AAA you can call them, if you're not a Premium it will cost you $25.

Having towed for quite a few years, on an MB of that vintage I would use a plastic wedge on the window frame to open it up a bit then maybe get a bag in there if you need it opened more and then use a Sully strip to lasso the knob, put some wax on the strip's string and that will help it stick better and prevent the string from pulling off the knob when you lift it.

You should be able to find a video of how to use a Sully on the web, and that way you can see what the strip is like and even make one out of some thin plastic and dental floss. Have fun!
