Smokescreen's gone... Is that good or bad?
So I was getting too much of a clatter from my engine, like you throw a bunch of metal balls into the engine, and putting in new injector nozzles fixed that. As a byproduct, however, I noticed that one of my favorite features in a diesel, which is the smokescreen (you know, someone follows you a bit too close, you step on it and they immediately keep their distance for the rest of the journey) is gone... I've been trying to get it out, as tailgating is one of the favorite activities for drivers here in Utah, and I can see no smoke... nor does the tailgater, much to my chagrin. Now I have to slow down if I want to get rid of a tailgater. Is this almost total abscence of smoke normal or is this a sign of not too good things to come in my engine?
