RUG jumped 10 cents almost everywhere for the holiday weekend while D2 stayed put. Cheapest D2 in town is 2.35 (RUG is 2.45 at the same station) while the cheapest RUG in town is 2.39. Most places have D2 at around 10 cents less than RUG.

Diesel has remained at 2.359 while regular gas is up to 2.399 with premium close to 3 bux again, a jump of about 30 cents in the last month or so...

A little off topic, but does anyone know if the proposed 'gas tax' in Massachusetts will affect diesel prices? Some people use 'gas' as a general term for fuel.

Driving east across PA toward the middle of the state on Saturday, RUG was 2.39 and I saw diesel for 2.37. I hope it stays this way.

Probably, but haven't heard for sure...
Money Hungry Politicians are looking for every cent they can squeeze out of us these days... They don't seem to remember what happened the last time they raised taxes or probably don't care.... Many Businesses Big and small are hurting and the new taxes will just drive customers up north to the Tax Free Zone causing more Mass businesses to go belly up and send more residents out of state.... Nice Vicious cycle...

Some are calling it the Massachusetts Recovery program for New Hampshire......

Wow...just drove by the pumps this morning.

At the same station-

Gas- $2.59
Diesel-$2.24

That is .35/gallon cheaper! Doubt it will stay around long.

I'd be willing to be that it does; there's really no reason for it to change to much more expensive in a short period of time. I think the old trend of "cheaper than gas" might be back to stay, now that the ULSD refineries have had some time to catch up and get their acts together. Now, how much of a difference in price is another question, but as long as it's at least equal, I'll be happy

That is the first time I've ever seen a station actually put "Diesel #2" on their sign!

Around here diesel has slowly climbed to around $2.35/gal......but RUG has risen rapidly to $2.69! And premium is 2.89 The 300E's food is expensive!!

We drive the 300E a lot less than the diesel though, less than 100 miles a week....my wife's work commute is not even 5 miles round trip.

I am more than happy to see gasser-exclusive people paying 34+ cents per gallon more! Ha!
