I have the possibility to get a 722.112 from a w123 280e, as a possible replacement for the bad trans on my 1980 300td (non turbo).

The 722.112 has pushrod control, so I understand that aspect will need to be adapted (current trans is 722.117, vacuum control only).

Anyone know if the 722.112 will bolt up, handle the diesel and have roughly appropriate gearing?
