OK, so, if the number is stuck, is there a way to "unstick" it? I know its cool to drive around with a car that reads 700,000 + on it, but its gonna play heck with my record keeping for sure.
I don't know the answer to that. Drive another 10,000 km and see if it changes again. If not, it was a one time thing, if it does, you should probably pull it out.

If he has been keeping good records, and has had the car to put some mileage on it, I think he would know.

Although, maybe he hasn't and when they fixed the ODO they accidentally glued the last two digits together!!

Yes, I've kept meticulous records. I use an app called Gas Cubby, which tracks fuel consumption as well as service records. I was watching the odo with bated breath, waiting for it to hit 630,000 km. And then suddenly, it was 730,000!!

Ah well...lets see what happens. Maybe this is how all those million-mile Mercs happened!!
