I just did an oil change with this stuff at this price and picked up an extra gallon. I may get one more before the sale ends. I'll save 2/3 on my next oil change.
This oil is awesome for starting in the bitter cold like we're having now. I started the 1972 220D at only 17deg outside with no problem. Phil Forrest

I don't see it in the 6 page flyer. What page?
[edit] I see it in the fine print under Delvac 1300. Sixto 87 300D |

Doesn't meet spec for the 606.962 anyway.

MOBILE 15/40 ,, NOT MOBILE 1 5/40 ,, Big difference!
5/40 is synthetic 15/40 isn't and $12.99 isn't a deal, I guess it is at Autozone because there oil is ridiculously expensive to begin with, went in for a gal of Delo the other day for my work truck and it was $17.99, walked right out, 10.99 at Walmart. I pay $19.99 for Delo full syn. 1 Gal. That's a good deal.

How so? Never heard anyone suggest that M1 TDT isn't a perfectly appropriate oil for a 606. If it's the 0W vs. 5W difference, that wouldn't concern me.

M1 5W-40 TDT meets a Cat spec, but has no MB ratings. Mobil's site won't pop that oil up in their search engine as recommended for a 606. Another oil does pop up and that oil is on the MB's approved list. That said, your 606.962 would probably do fine on TDT and I may have used it a time or two in my 606 when M1 Euro Blend 0W/40 factory fill oil disappeared (although it might have been the discontinued Turbo Diesel rather than TDT - been too long ago). Mobil enjoys changing their names around every year or two to make selecting oils more fun. The spec always tells the story.

Just for kicks I entered a Providence zip code. The sale is there also. As sixto stated, it is in the fine print.

Also the oil is placed conspicuously separate from the regular oils on the shelf. You have to scout for where they place Diesel oils and look closely from there to find Mobil TDT 5w40 jugs... Good luck!

The ad I saw says "Mobil 1 Truck Diesel" with no reference to grade. AFIK all Mobil 1 oils are synthetic... to some degree.

Guessing its a typo based on the pics in the ad, the other two oils are Dino 15w40....there's no way they'd drop an oil they normally sell for around $30 a gallon to $13.
