240D shut off valve mounted in injection pump
Here is a question for all of you. How do I replace the shut off valve that is located in the injection pump? I can see the four bolts holding it on the side, but what will I incounter when I remove the bolts. Any tips in this area would be greatly appreciated.

When you remove the four bolts the valve will come right out. I had to remove mine and was surprised to find no surprises in it.

Prbably hooks onto the plunger rack, should be obivious. The only problem you may run into is not getting the new one installed correctly by not getting it hooked onto the rack correctly. Verify that the stop lever comes back up when you install the new servo, and that it moves down properly when vacuum is applied to the new servo before you try to start the car.
Have a 17 mm wrench handy in case you still screwed up and can't shut it off -- you will need to open the injector lines on at least two, probably three, injectors to stop it if it runs away. Just a precaution, shouldn't happend, but if it does, you can over-rev the engine. Peter
