it depends on if you remove the fan shroud first... also, the throttle linkage should be disconnected... you DON"T wanna break that pivot ball...

for safety's sake, I'd disconnect the fan entirely if I were tilting the motor/trans... the 123 is TIGHT around the transmission... you are going to want to tilt it MUCH more that it will actually tilt...

so finally got the bowden cable installed in tilly. tried to drop the tranny...wouldnt you know 3 of 4 trans bolts came out fine. one just spins...it need s anew clip/sleeve.
doesnt anyone know the proper name for this part..i wanna replace them all.
finally got the old cable out of the tranny with 90° pliers. when i went to put the new one in..i noticed i was scratching the sleeve of the new bowden cable. so i put electrical tape around the ends of my 90° pliers. this actually helped me get a better grip on the sleeve to ...popped right in..no leaks..and yes i replaced the o-ring also. . now to get the shift point dialed in better..tho it is shifting better. weeeee. thanx for all the help guys.

To look up parts

This method is not for everyone. I had the same issue of the Clips breaking and got out My Drill Motor and Tungstun Carbide Rotary File and enlarged the slots on the Broken Clips so I could get Wrench on the Nuts.

Instead of replacing the broken Clips I bougth som thin Staniless Steel Nuts with a Flange on one side and slid those into the enlarged Slots and used a Never Sieze type Compound on the Bolts so they would not rust up again.

I did the above because I did not want to by the Clips from the Local Dealer and I did not have an Internet Parts Order to make shipping the Clips economical.
I am also lucky to have an Industrial Hardware Store with in walking Distance.

IIRC you are looking for a "speed clip nut" similar to this? :https://www.belmetric.com/metric-nuts-metric-speed-nuts-c-3_856.html
