There is no reason for that tool not to work, provided that the necessary press is available.

There is a thread, on the other board I believe, where someone used it.

You are able to leave the boot on the balljoint for the install, which is a huge advantage over some DIY cludges people have successfully done with the generic C-press.

As Tango notes, however, you need to find someone with a floor-model shop press to actually press it in, or take it to a garage or machine shop. Check out local prices first, the one shop I have found so far, which will do it for me with me bringing in the tool, wanted $100. Not going to happen.

BTW, I am fairly certain one or both varieties of the tool (clamp/press, tube) are available for rental from members here, on the tool rental subforum.

Would that tool work without a press? Can it be used with a hammer to hammer the BJ in? Has anyone done that?
