Question 1995 E300D fuel line replacement question

Hello W124 Diesel Fans, I have a 95 E300D with a leaky fuel line (the one that goes from the fuel filter to the main pump (not the assist pump). This line is part no. 601 070 2232 and is pretty dark from heat and the o-ring in the main pump end was leaking. I went to my local dealer and talked to the parts guy who informed me that MB no longer sells this part and has replaced it with part no. 601 070 5332. The old line has a clip on attachment, the new one is a bolt on. I wonder how the installation on this goes. Anyone done this?
I'm waiting for the part to come in but I'm wondering if that bolt is just going to go right into my pump or if some special installation procedure is going to be needed. I imagine MB would not make this impossible to do, but....
I'm attaching a photo of the old hose.
I was able to get the o-ring on the fuel filter end of the old hose but the pump end (see pictures) o-ring was not even shown on the parts list since MB states that the "old part is not to be reinstalled." So out of luck there.
Would appreciate any help on this. Maybe someone has had to do this before.
