Trans. modulator and throttle linkage questions....

Greetings,
I was changing my oil today and took a brief look under the car to try and find the trans. modulator and couldn't find it. My car shifts a little soft and I'd like to restrict the vacuum that goes to the transmission a little. Anyway, the car was on low ramps and it was really awkward crawling around down there so I didn't stay too long. Can anyone tell me where this modulator (or vacuum valve or whatever it is) is in relation to the transmission oil pan? I think once I found it I'd know what to do (from reading a bunch of other posts on the topic).

Also, I would like to adjust my throttle linkage to spec because I know that it controls a lot of important things (trans. shifting, fuel delivery, etc.) but can't seem to find a good procedure on how to do this. Any help on that would be much appreciated. Thank you all.

Alex
