Any way to make w124 ACC fit in w126
Well, went to the junkyard only to find out that the W124 ACC unit I picked works but it doesn't fit. I thought I finally had a blower to move the heat...
![]() Can I fabricate it or am I just better off getting a refund? Btw, I pried out the buttons and got it out of the plastic frame.

How does it not fit? Physically?
I'm wondering if you could transfer the guts from the 124 into the 126?

I also wonder are the internals a direct swap, I want to take it apart but I'm afraid I'll damage it.

The circuit board inside is the same shape IIRC. If the W124 unit works electrically in your car, I'd try to swap housings.
