W115 Exhaust stud source

I've got a '75 240D and I was tightening a loose nut on the exhaust today where the upper mounting to the York compressor is as there was visible play and it snapped. Not sure how, as I am a little guy and was using a standard 3/8 drive ratchet. Anyone know where to get a replacement or have one they could send me? I need the nut too since mine is fairly rounded off.
Thanks.

I believe the dealerships still sell them - perhaps the site sponsors

Have you managed to remove the remains of the stud from the head?

No I haven't. Looks like I'll be able to remove it with some vice-grips though, so I'm thankful for that. I'm thinking I may want to remove everything just in the off chance another one snaps so I can order enough to put it back together. Site sponsor doesn't seem to have them. I'll call the dealer tomorrow.

Chop a bolt? As long as it isn't zinc plated...

They're still listed in EPC. There are multiple part numbers: 000939010077, 000939010047, 000939010123, 000939008130 and 000939010126, which assume refer to different lengths, or maybe a part that's often superseded. The exhaust nuts are 0009903150.

I can't find these part numbers at any online site, so I assume they are generic parts. The dealer should be able to help. You may be able to find an off the shelf stud that would work:

Thanks Frank. I forwarded a ticket to Pelican with this info so they can help me choose the right one. Here are some pics of what I'm dealing with. Upon closer inspection there is an over sized nut used as a spacer that doesn't look factory so I need to dig a little bit more to do this up right.

This might not be relevant information any more but I will add a bit of a tip to those looking for manifold studs. I could link to a site in Holland but it won't help the majority here - But - keep an eye out for suppliers of nuts bolts and washers who specialise in old machinery / cars / motorbikes - they often sell kits or sets of things like manifold studs and they can work out cheaper than the dealership (but as always checking is an important step to make in real rather than perceived smart shopping!)

If you can come up with the size, www.belmetric.com carries many different sizes and materials.
