Jay_bob's wagon odd electrical issues

The tach drop to zero and the abs light comes on at the same time.

Also, the windshield wiper pauses ... I'm guessing that is the gearbox...

Check your voltage regulator for wear. Also check grounds

Tach and ABS are probably OVP issues. Not sure if the wiper is fed off that circuit or not.

Wiper could be a ground issue. I'm not sure on that model, but it's usually the ground behind the left headlight.

Check the OVP and see if the fuse came loose (again). Maybe time for a replacement, the fuse clips may have lost their spring temper and that is why the fuse falls out. Both the EDS (which drives the tach) and the ABS come off the OVP relay.

The wiper was from a JY 1990 ish 300E, maybe it’s going south. Can’t remember if I put the original in the back when I sold the car to you along with all the other parts I had accumulated.
