Nate

Nate, I altered my schedule and went by the bone yard today (Oakland).
I spent a good 25 minutes scouring the engine bay, interior, trunk and under the car and larger surrounding area (found the valve cover tossed under a different car next to it).

Present were only a few linkage parts but not the one you need.
Since I saw the car last week, and saw linkages scattered on the inner fender since valve cover was off, I suspect that the one piece you need was grabbed before my first visit.
I do not recall that piece but recall the shut off piece, a few linkage rod pieces and the top bracket and the throttle pivot bearing straight linkage..everything was fairly flat. Your piece is kind of unique and would not have laid flat...

There were a few linkage rods still on the engine closest to the spritzers. But they were not your baby..

Red face Farm Fixing.....

I hope to avoid doing that.....

As mentioned I *could* delete it but then I'd be upset every time I checked the oil.....

You know how old German vehicle owners are ~ picky about the niggly bits, no good reason apart from my being able to take this old beast anywhere, any time, as far as I want without worry..... .
