Picked up my 3rd Nice looking 300d this year

I’ve let the opportunity overwhelm me lately , now sitting in my drive way is the 3rd Parker of the crop I’ve picked up around the Houston area . Each one had their own unique story and issues but I’m usually got a good average with a startup before purchase .This 3rd one though I’m going to take a video document for YouTube just to show how these cars survive a long slumber like I’ve witnessed over the years .a cars journey .

I'm not even looking at car ads hoping to get my projects done before the kids sell them for no money at a yard sale.

I did go look at a tractor which I need to keep my trails clear and driveway smooth. Strangely, I've done without a tractor for at least 43 years. I'm not sure how I managed but don't want the tractor to be another project.

Beware that trend… believe me… I have a LOT of cars. It’s soooo easy to collect deals.

It might be a few weeks , maybe a month since I just picked it up Tuesday. The process depends on the car , this one has a sour rusty tank and the ignition is in pieces so that’s my focus this weekend .It’s a late 81 model , turbo diesel 4 door in a dark grey , after sometime at my storage I found everything on my list in the hoard of parts . So most of these are Parker’s I find , either by driving by them , people coming up to me , or CL .The 84 Burgundy was bought in September , it’s driving but I’m waiting to get the shafts done , . The 83 lite blue was bought earlier this month driving it with a list started , got a good part of complete , then Grey here .

In 2007 I bought a 79 yellow w123 wagon , it was dirty with rusty areas followed by a clapped out interior , but , that thing ran like a sewing machine , never heard something so sweat .I have never owned something new , I usually build well worn automobiles and make them sound commuters. In this day in time I’m sure a lot of young people could be helped this way , paying it forward as Mr Hunter from here showed me those years ago .

I bet. My buddy lives in SC, about 2 hours from Georgia. He’s got 12 acres, I told him I’d build a huge concrete slab and just start collecting all the Benz diesels I could find. How many you got now? I remember being around on here when you did your big clean out.

I was living in a little farm house with no restrictions on car storage back in 2016 , a family concern arose over my parents care so I joined forces with 2 gracious thoughtful caregivers to give my parents a chance to be at home for their twighlight years . I sold most of my cars ,the 2 190e Cossie s I practical gave away .I would have done anything for my parents who were fighting Alzheimer’s, It was a punch in the gut . Just have to say the last 5 years has left me changed .
