1984 300D turbo: front driver's window does not operate

Hello all, ran into a small problem with the front left driver's window. The other three windows go up and down when I press their respective power switches (thank goodness!). I then took the driver's side rear passenger window switch connector and connected it to the front driver's side window switch. When I pressed the switch, the driver's side rear passenger window raised and lowered normally. So, it appears all the actual switches are working properly.

However, when I connect the connectors as they should be connected, the driver's side window will not raise or lower. I checked the lower third fuse from the left (says this is the window fuse) and it looks normal. Could this be:

A. A window relay problem?

or

B. A short in the wiring harness?
