I have a 2006 (6/05 build) E 320 CDI.

I placed two crates in the trunk 10 # and 35 # respectively, and now the deck lid will not release unless I use the key. The 10# crate was placed on the driver's side and all the way forward. The 35# crate was placed next to it ( in the center of the trunk) and all the way forward.

The manual release will not work unless I use the key, the electronic release. both on the key and in the driver door will not function now.

I believe it is caused by a fuse. a relay or a broken wire?

I have checked most of the fuses from the trunk up to the left side of the dashboard area and they appear to be good. I cannot find a fuse or relay diagram that labels the failed electronics I am experiencing related to the deck lid.

Help would be appreciated!

Plug in your OBII tool and command the trunk to open. Look for activation. Canbus makes troubleshooting this problem easy peasey!
