W123 seat swap question

This is not Diesel related, but the W123 experts are here so I'm asking anyway.

Since the driver's seat in my 240D was toally shot, I took it out and put the passenger's seat in its place. I figured out how to remove and replace the bottom frame (a feat in itself!), but still have one hangup. The backrest adjuster is on the wrong side. Can anybody offer a hint on how to move it to the other side?

While I'm at it, are the headrests adjustable for height? I've pulled and yanked, and poked for hidden buttons, but can't get them to budge.

Thanks.
