"grease on my block"
to the diesel lords! (sorry can't help it!
![]() whenever i open my hood it's kinda embarassing because of all the grime on the sides of engine block and on some other places aaround 3 months ago i had the gasket replaced but it still the same i'm planning to have my valves adjusted next week and have my timing chain stretch checked, "finally" to get more power out of my engine i'm still saving for the injectors, but what more can i do to keep that engine bay of mine clean because i really want my baby to look good over and under the hood thanks guys Joseph C. Clean
Joseph - most of the over the counter engine degreasers work well - and it's mostly elbow grease. The cleaners will not make the engine comparment come clean by themselves. Buy an assortment of plastic brushes (long handle, big small) and go to town with your degreaser. If you are not into doing it all at one time. Just do a little each time you wash your car. After a short time it's all done. Alluminum brightner for applicable parts and hose dressing (not tire dressing) for those rubber/plastic parts.
have fun!
