Gasser 4-Spd Manual in Diesel???

Gang-

Was at the u-pull yesterday and found a ~83 280E 123 series sedan. It certainly has the gas motor, and 4-speed MANUAL transmission. ALL of clutch, shifter, etc, stuff was still there too.

I'm currently on the quest to find a 4-speed manual donor car, and wonder if this is it. Does anyone know if the gasser tranny will bolt to the 617 diesel engine? At the very least, I should probably go pull the shifter and clutch pedal parts.

Suggestions?
