TD rear wiper and squirter no worky

I searched the threads and cannot find guidance on this -
The other day I am driving my 82 300 TD wagon and when I push down the button for the rear wiper - nothing. Though it had previously worked great. When I try the wiper/fluid button it does not work either though I can hear a "click" like it wants to but no fluid motor noise. Any guidance?

Dumb question, but have you checked the fuse that powers these?

I don't know if it' the same or separate from the fuse that drives the front blades, so that's just a shot in the dark...in spite of wanting a wagon, I have a sedan.

Good luck!

checked fuses

Yes, I did check all the fuses at the firewall. Is there a separate fuse for the rear wiper? In line?

hey

hey there...

i had the same problem. in my case my rear wiper motor was just too weak to make the turn. i ordered a used replacement from Patomac GErman Auto and now it works fine.

one thing you can do to troubleshoot is to pull the blade up off the glass, then activate the button- there's less resistance and friction and it may work- if that's the case it means your motor is too weak.

good luck!
