'83 240D - Heater Control Valve Is leaking

My heater control valve that is on the firewall is leaking. This one has the manual valve that is controlled by two cables going to the rotary temperature dials on the control panel. Is there a rebuild kit or some common O-rings for this malady, or will I have to buy a new valve (I priced one at a local specialty shop for $60.00 - any suggestions for cheaper?). Also, one of the dials does not have full range of travel from hot to cold (will not go all the way back to cold) and the slide on the right controlling the floor vents does not have full travel either way (kind of stuck in the middle portion of its travel). Any suggestions on these minor problems appreciated also.
