Brake pad light won't go out

A couple of weeks ago, a friend replaced my brake pads on my 1980 300sd.

He has done them for me for several years but this time, there is a problem. The yellow brake pad wear light stays on and he double checked and all the sensors are in place.

Could there be a simple solution for this? Thanks
