Our diesel GTGs are usually on a smaller scale: usually 8 - 10 people, we have a few beers, bbq, talk (a lot!), and sometimes parts swap. I prefer being prepared to being thirsty...

a couple of weeks ago, i went to an Audi/VW car show at raceway park in New Jersey.. it was awesome in the respect that people bring their cars, get judged etc, drag race, sell parts and meet other Audi/VW fanatics. They should do something like that for MB's. BASTARDS!

These guys are all socially retarded. They should have told you about the 240D drag race, scheduled from 1pm to 1:30.

If you guys want to drag go for it. I'm always open to that kind of stuff, just don't want to get ticket's so we gotta play that cool.

Go nuts if you want, but if you do get a ticket you have to pay your own way.

Were not doing any contests this year because frankly I really don't want to judge people's cars. If its a good turn out and we do it again next year, and someone wants to put contest like that together (Ie judge them) lets do it!

We were thinking that this year we would hang out have some food and beer and chill, you know talk MB's swap parts if you bring them all that fun stuff. If it turned into a big show we can expand it.

I hope to make it to this GTG.

I had my TDI for 2+ years before I went to a TDI GTG. worst mistake ever. I learned more at one GTG then all the reading possible.

I look forward to this one.

How much wrenching do people plan on doing? crazy, a little, none at all lets just chill?

I will really be there to learn. Let people drive my car and tell me what they think.

Like oh you GOTTA do this . . . . .

I am in Boston so I plan on doing a day trip.

Yep call them, I havn't called yet because I am not sure if I plan on spending the night or not. If my buddy goes we might bring the fishing rods and make a weekend out of it. Since their are some good streams up that way.
