Long time no post but car is running with new gearbox and diff, only few broken axels. Now in winter car is going to garage and i'll have time to deal with them. Drivebility suffers a bit with new 4-bladed cluch but its managable.
Allso "new" head is waiting to be installed.

Car is still running great, no issues with engine or driveline.

Brakes got small upgrade.
They are from w220, front 4pot and 330mm vented discs, rear 2pot and 300mm vented discs. Rather easy install.

Have few vids too:
Launch
Just some turbo whistle
Small burnout

Cool build!
Which turbo do you use at the moment? I am thinking about turboing my m103 with t04e,it should be enough for 0.5b of boost. My biggest fear is my 5sp manual gearbox.I hope that it will last with 0.5bar.

Thanks guys.
Last page i had a typo. Right now i have Precision PT6266, 62mm compressor, turbine is 0.84ar t4 devided. Depends on gear but it wakes up between 2500-3000 rpm, still havent installed boost controller and running only with wastegate spring pressure.
First is 0.6bar, second 0.9bar and last three gears are 1.1 bar, i kind a like it and thats why havent rushed with boostcontroller.
About driveline, my experience is that gearbox/diff/axels can explode on n/a engines and can hold 1.0bar boost. They arent foulproof and if u dont do cluch kicks or launch with launch controll u will be fine(just get some spares in case). I want to do all those stupid thing thats why i went with bmw gearbox. Friend has m104 500hp/700nm and with 2.7cdi 6speed, it holds also fine.
About turbo, i wouldnt take smaller than 12cm/0.80ar turbine housing. With rwd and manual gearbox u will be defenetly on higer end on rpm range(eaven if u think that will not gonna happen, it will, belive me) and with too small housing u will gonna get some issues with egt, boost will dropp of and so on.

E: m103 is realy good at low end torqe and i wouldnt worry about spool too much, atleast if u dont go stupid big. About top end i have limiter 7500 and it revs there happily.
E2: that recommendation is for safe, easy build and should work right out of box, if u want to go bigger or smaller then u have definetly more trubleshooting and need really good boost controll/wastegate setup.

Its kinda cold and wintery in Estonia so Coupe is in garage waiting spring and warmer weather.
While ago i got spare engine, also had laying around that diesel manifold and my old turbo.

It all kinda fits pretty good. Manifold is fliped and made new holes.

So i have reached decision that sedan needs turbo also.
I have ordered one blank fuel rail billet, have fab holes for injectors and some fastening points, for fpr i use some OE part. Injectors ill take from coupe and replace those with 1000cc bosch ones.
Ignition wise haven't decided if i keep distributor, take 3x2 coil from coupe and put audi tfsi coils to there or opposite. Ill have to order new wires anyway so maybe ill go with audi coils, price difference is pretty small, have to fab some bracket to hold those and heat shield.
Ecu is also bit open but ill make some christmas present for myself.

For turbo i plan to use my old K27, will change bearings myself and will get shaft rebalanced. If that shaft is unusable then i have one bigboy waiting to get some use or will get some "ebay" turbo for drivebility.
Last weekend i disassembled turbo, everything was kinda ok and clean but compressor wheel nut was loose and turbine side bearing was stuck on shaft.
Ill try to show that shaft to some turbo repair guys to get some opinion.

Garage was too cold

Shaft(got that bearing off with hydraulic press), compressor wheel and last issue, ceter part has some damages also wheres clip groove is.
Its "bit" beaten but if i manage to get that one working then ill use it, if not, then no big deal, have some bigger alternatives.
Cheap, fast and reliable is big plan

Some progress with sedan, have been getting some parts.
ECU, wiring done as much as possible, 350cc@bar injectors, fuel rail, trigger wheel, tps, water temp, iat, knock sensor.
For injectors im thinking to 3d print new sleeves, i could use old ones but new ones would be cooler and better fitting, something like that.
WB, egt and trigger sensor still needed.
Ignition side ill stay with distributor for now (budget build still), im thinking to build coupe to vag tfsi coils and then i can get old coupe ignition to sedan.

Next step is to make fuel rail ready, have to think something for fpr holder, using some vag OE fpr, i have drawings to make, adapter to throttlebody and sensor+finish injector sleeves, get few missing parts and hope some less cold weather.

One winter picture.

And one vid.

Great work and nice drifting

been following your thread as the other m103 turbo threads here and hope to get my 190e m103 boosted this year. Picked up an om603 manifold to try to adapt for now.

Cheers

Some progress, fuelrail is ready, I need to add fpr only.

Wiring mostly done, need to add relays for fuel pump and fan but those I think I do during install.

Next week I'll get adapter for tps printed, will have to lift throttle body bit to fit that and then all should be set.

Very nice Job!

I would like to improve also my brakes system.
What kind of modifications needs your w220 kit?

The bolt holes are same on w124 and w220, u need spacers, thikness depends what disk u will gonna use. Bit work with lines too. I made ca15cm copper line from support and then connected elastic line.
Problems might come with wheels, hitting support and if using spacers then fitting into arch.
I used R class disks with 3 or 4mm spacers, without those will hit control arm.
W220 4matic discs fit also but those are offset more outside so wheel spacers needed.

OM603 3.5 crank inside m103, now i need pistons and rods, piston is 7mm over deck now.
Plan is to use bmw M60b40 143mm rods and m111 90.9mm pistons (3mm lower than m103).
