Differences between e430 and e430 Sport?

I understand that some items that are options on the e430 are standard on the sport, but is the suspension different? Could the e430 springs and struts be added along with 17 inch wheels to get the handling of the sport model?

SG: While I'm not exactly sure about your question (ie, what you are looking to accomplish), Option Package E3 (the "Sport" package) adds 8x17 5-spoke alloy wheels, 235/45 R17 94W performance tires, aerodynamic sculptured lower body work (side skirts, front air dam and rear valence) and projector beam fog lamps. Mechanicals are the same as the E430. There are a variety of ways to upgrade the suspension, like replacing with AMG spec. pieces or getting components from an outside source.
Hope this helps.
Gary

Well, here is the scenario. I can get a steal of a deal on a 98 e430 in the color combination that I want. I would rather have the sport model, but at the price I can get the 98 e430 for, I just wanted to know the differences. So the sport package is only for looks then, from what you are telling me. I would think that if they upgraded the wheels they would change the dampening on the struts.....
