I'd love one fella, but the shipping to this side of the pond may be a killer

Lots of interest!

Well, looks like we have firm commitments from:

1.) Vince
2.) Shanta
3.) Ross
4.) Guido
5.) Marc
6.) Bryan Harter
7.) Dairel
8.) Brian Drought (you gave me a ton of help with my stereo install back in the day, so I'll cover your shipping across the pond if you like)
9.)Jay (esvic)

Now, I've figured out a way to get 9 kits out of the resources I have, so you folks are covered!

If I haven't sent you an email with my address info, then please let me know and we'll get that taken care of. I'll send the kits out as the $$ arrives, FYI.

If anyone else wants this setup, it'll have to wait for a second "production run". But if there's some interest, I'll source more componentry and continue to put these together.

Lastly, does anyone have a problem with my sending the first kit out to Harter, since his car's apart??

Thanks everyone - I'm glad this is gonna work out for everyone

And Happy Burnouts!!

I will accomodate. Stay tuned for distribution updates (whilst I sit here waiting for the final little bits)

Install locations

All,

If you've purchased one of these kits, please advise where you plan to mount the switch so I can send you all the necessary bits (like the socket that installs above the HVAC controls, which the switch will plug into)

Michael,

I am going to install mines above the HVAC controls. I plan on taking out my alarm led switch socket thingy which I don't need (have aftermarket alarm) and replacing it with the ASR Defeat.

Regards,
Shanta

Hi Mike. I am going to to install mine where you did your. Since I dont have any use for the factory fader.. Is there more wiring involved. To run it down to shifter or is it easier to wire above the ACC panel. Did you have to remove your after market radio unit to run the wires?

Mike heading out to Sin city as we speak, I'll mail you the check when I get back in a few days. Send me some photos if you can,. I have a few more guys here in southern calif are interested.

When you do release these kits, put some kinda of disclaimer, you know off road use only type thing. for any reason if someone should try to pull a fast one.

I did that on a few things I created yrs ago. For mercedes owners.

See ya. Guido

Michael, I plan to have it installed it above the HVAC panel, either replacing it for what is now the anti theft indicator lamp 'switch' or creating a new switch in the blank space between the anti theft alarm indicator and the snow chain switch, whichever is easier for Carl.
Disclaimer is indeed a good idea, considering the reality of the sad but true litigious world today..........
You should have gotten my check by now......Thanks a bundle Michael.
:p :p :p :p <------happy and grateful for ASR defeat kit

Paint is done....

Micheal,

I am back from VA, just read the posts and am thrilled at the prospects of receiving a switch. I need an address to mail a check.

I stopped by the body shop, things are painted and will start the reassembly tomorrow.
I also just picked up the front door panels for the speakers and took them to the upholestry shop, wrapping them is going to be tough!

I think I would like to install the switch in the fader position as
that will not be used with the new ICE.

Things are starting to come together....but the road ahead is still a long one!

Thanks!

Update

I'm waiting on the sockets for hte switches from Mercedes - With those in hand, I'll start gathering the bits, doing the pre-assembly stuff as best I can, then get them out to you good folks.

Does anyone have any install questions, or are they answered by the RENNTech instructions and the info I've posted here?

Please let me know.
