Order of Work
I am going to remove the wood veneer from my console and send it off to be refinished. I am also planning on replacing my Becker radio with a new head unit. Does it matter which I do first? For instance, does the wood need to be present for the stereo folks to fit the new head unit properly? Or do I risk damaging the newly refinished wood if I wait to do the stereo last? Thanks.

Personally, I would not put the wood back in until the stereo guys were finished.

Carbon fiber
Hey, SLeazey, did you see the carbon fiber panels the fellow in Canada is making? I think it's under the Detailing section of the forum. One of those would look very nice in an SL IMO. Unless you're trying to keep things as stock as possible.

Thanks guys. And thanks for the suggestion Dee8go, but I am indeed trying to remain as stock as possible. This was the last car my Dad owned before he died and, somehow, it wouldn't seem right to change it drastically.
