New 450SL Owner question on oil pressure gauge

I just recently bought a 1979 450SL which I am totally in love with. I have done minor repairs on my Aerostar van (starters, alternators, power steering pump, radiators, etc.) so I am pretty sure I can work on this vehicle myself.

The oil pressure gauge does not work at present. The previous owner said there was a leak at the instrument cluster, so he took it in and the MB mechanic just capped off the hose, instead of fixing the leak. I would like very much to have this working. So my question is, do I have to pull the whole dash out to get to the connection or just the instrument cluster?

Any help would be appreciated.
