4spd Shift Knob Ideas...

Hey all,

I just got my '72 350SL 4spd and found a helluva the mouse nest in the glove box. It also seems they made part of it by chewed the top off the shift knob (inc. the shift pattern).

Any suggestions on a replacement?

The length of the shifter boarders on the ridiculous (he said before having actually driven it, so I can't attest to it's action...perhaps I'll love it...). That being said, I'm not opposed to a modification to a newer (or older) model... I quite like the length and feel of the leather W124/Sweet 16v shifter (wrong pattern, I know, but think of it as an 'anti-theft' device ). I also love the vintage look of the Pagoda 4spd white knob (so cool!! ). Further I am certain that one of you would murder me if I installed a Dodge Pistol Grip shifter (lol ).

Just curious as to what anyone has seen/suggests/or, more importantly, has For Sale!
