300sl r129 rough running /stalling when hot

seem to think it may be temp sensor ,any other suggestions?
also where is temp sensor /

Here are a few things to check:

Distributor cap and rotor.

Igintion coil if orginal then replace it.

I had a simular problem that was solved with new igintion coil.
