Question SL600 engine heat question? Also, washer fluid questions.

I got my 1996 SL600 in October and I have never seen the engine get over 80 degrees C. Now it consistently gets up to 100 Degrees C and slightly over. The coolant level looks fine. The manual says that the engine can be at 130 degrees C, but I was wondering if my temps were normal?

Also, I never use my windshield washer fluid but I filled it to the top a few months ago. Just 2 week ago, it asked for more. I was shocked that it was empty because there are no leaks. Is the heat causing evaporation? Also, my windshield fluid won't spray anymore. The fuses look fine. Is there an easy fix anyone can recommend?

Thanks in advance

You may want to check to see if your aux fans are operational. It only comes on at a predetermined temp. One way to check it is to turn on the AC, the two small fans in the front should come on.

Do a search on the forum on your windshield sprayer issue. Some member recently had the same problem and the fix was listed on the forum. I cannot remember which thread but you can type in windshield and see what comes back. Good luck.
