CJ - I hope you aren't getting out of the Benz business.

Nice photo in the link. I especially like the wheels you had on your car.

Dave,
I hate to sell my 300D, but I need more room and the Ml series did not impress me. I need a car in which I can carry a double baby stroller, diaper bag and my family in comfort. My in-laws are all in NY + NJ, so we travel up there just about evry other weekend. This past weekend we bought a 4Runner, since the Mazda's lease is up in 15 days. When I visit clients I have my trunk full and then have stuff piled up high on the seats. After I drove my Wife's 4Runner, I fell in love.
I am not happy that I have to get rid of her, I absolutely love this car.

I hear you...

Maybe you could find a great 300TE somewhere. I have managed to convince myself that a Benz wagon (or maybe a 540i touring wagon or Audi Avant) would be a nice way to transport two large middle-aged children, two offspring, two large dogs and all necessary accoutrements (read - two golf bags, or two kayaks, or four sets of skis and in any case a hundred used tennis balls). My spouse refuses to accept the possibility of an SUV or a van. I agree, but mostly because she says so....

Twins, or just two younguns?

One youngguns and one in the planning stage.
How do the rims look on your car? Did you get a "mystery" package at your house?

Not yet shod

The rims await mounting. I have been doing 10-12 hour days in this damned office for the past 3 weeks, 6 and sometimes 7 days of those weeks. I managed to take 3 days off this past weekend, but mostly slept and I'm paying for it now. I may have a window of opportunity next week to steal away and get it done. The rims themselves look terrific. Unless I get some time somewhere before I put them on the car, they'll be the nicest thing on the car. The weather here in NorCal has been so bad the past couple of weeks that it's pointless to do any washing and waxing.

I did receive a mystery package, thank you. In my brain death, I realised this morning that I failed to send your return as I said I would last Thursday. It's on my piano at home, all packaged and ready to go. It will go. I'll make sure of it. I managed to look at your package a little and it's just the ticket!

Hey, don't disappear off the forum just because you're driving a Toyota....and good luck with them young'uns. Both of mine firmly believe that the best car is a German car...

Rats, only a few months ago, I sold a great 300D (147K).

I went to the post office today, by the way.
