FS 240D Manual transmission steel

I have a 240D manual tranny for sale which I have had for 15 years or more.. Unknown miles or condition . I was told it was "OK". It likely came out of a 1977 if memory serves. model # 115261 1619614. I live in wyoming. local pickup would be best as the buyer could decide if it was good. I could drain the oil out to see if it comes out clean?
3072012109 or 699-2254 or respond in this forum. I am on a search for the aluminum 4 spd from 81 to 83.

Are the internals the same as what is needed to fix yours?

HO:
Although a direct replacement with an aluminum case box would be the simplest approach, the cast iron case version will bolt to the engine and mount also. Both were used in the 123 chassis and with the same engines.
The iron version would require a shifter to match. The shifters differ principally in the length of the arms.

Well I pulled out the tranny yesterday & removed the drain plug.....no oil came out! I changed the oil about 8-10 yrs ago .Haven't checked since. Total knucklehead and shame on me. slow leak over a decade and I have only put 10K on it. The inside was full of shattered parts. so sad. The MT weighs 56 lbs and is 20x15 inches. 2 junk yards want to put one on a pallet and ship as freight and I can't dissuade them It would fit in a UPS/FedEx box, well stuffed and packed. It should ship for less than $100 to me I would think.

I weighed my aluminum transmission and it was 56 lbs and is 20X15" inches. It could be shipped fed ex. The steel one(the 115) feels more like 75 lbs but could still go UPS/FED EX I assume. I could pack it up if you wanted it . I found one in a junkyard back east and the UPS was about $100 as memory serves. A HD cardboard or plastic tote would work if well packed.
