One More time- Trailer lights for ML320
I'm having comprehension problems.
Ive printed out the instructions on wiring a trailer for a ML320. It starts out with a fixed plug in bumper area -running wires up to the trunk compartment. I think in my case , they dont apply. My questions are... Since I haul a light weight trailer/no brakes 3 times a year..May I just plug my lights into the connection that is in the compartment behind the First Aid Compartment? Its a little 3 wire plus ground plug. The most common plug used.. as far as i know. And do I need the exclusive Mercedes connector ? Seems with a Mercedes SUV with the wires brought up to that spot it should be a breeze. Another site says U-Haul has a $15 connector and the guy just keeps it in the First aid compartment. I stopped at U Haul this morning but it was a 30 minute line up. I need no perminant plug down by the hitch. Just want a simple cheap solution.
