Two more minor things broke
Read hatch pull pocket fell in my hand today. Upon close inspection, it is really not designed to pull the heavy hatch door often; all the force is concentrated on 4 tiny easily worn out plastic dents. No wonder the new W164 has an electronic hatch.
It is amazing to see what this truck would do 200 miles after warranty. The retaining clip on the driver’s floor for the rubber mat just broke yesterday. Anyone has replaced it? All in all, I still enjoy driving the truck every mile, don’t know why ![]() |

I have to add a third one. The two "minor" clips on the sunroof broke as well, I remove the whole assembly to avoid a major one

I wonder if I have the same problem with the sunroof. A couple of days ago the metal shade fell off, as I opened the sunroof. A couple of clips fell of as well. Have you tried to fix it?

The dealer fixed it once and it broke again. I just removed it all together and I do think I need the metal deflector at all since I have the exterior deflector.
There is another thread about fixing it if you are interested. Based on my removal process, it doesn't look too bad. |
