looks like you got the crankshaft position sensor failure syndrome.

I don't see much mention of it on the boards for this particular issue, but in my case it was the "crank ANGLE sensor". Similar looking parts, but the CAS is on the back of the engine (near tranny) as opposed to the front (CPS).
I found out the hard way.
