Hi Group,
My brake light is starting to flicker In my 98 ml320. I will determine shortly if it's my rear or front as I replaced my front pads in the summer of 2005.(does the rear have a sensor?) My mind is made up to replace the pads and rotors if it's the front as the front rotors are a little warped. I want to try a set of rotors from:
www.frozenrotors.com as well as recommended pads. I just found this site a few months ago.
Can the more experienced techs give me some input please? Has anyone used these parts?
The rotors are said to never warp and last 3x's longer that regular rotors.
I will also buy these for my Volvos as their rotors always warp. I guess I drive my cars hard! I'm tired of replacing rotors in my cars and since it's time again in the ML, I'll try the frozen ones.
Also what's the deal with two totally different views when I called two indies for a rough estimate on a front brake job. The general indie says over $300 for parts and ceramic pads(dust free). The Import indie says just about $400 with parts and labor and he is going to use organic as they're dust free and won't chew up the rotor like the ceramic.
These guys both do excellent work. I'm going to buy the rotors and pads and have the general indie install same for about the same cost. The import Indie won't install my parts.
